The entry doors to this luxury penthouse were just not 'elegant' enough...

so I built and installed these two solid Cherry, single-lite doors

(36" x 94" x 1 3/4") with matching casings.

The wood/stain used for this door and the side-lite frames didn't match ...

... so I built a new matching door, side-lite frames and jambs from White Oak,

using the existing leaded glass panels.

This customer called me to see if we could "refinish" his original doors.

Turns out that this was not at all practical - they were made from cheap pine,

had multiple coats of old paint and leaked ... so the best solution was to build 

a new entry door, sidelites and framework from "Sapele" Mahogany

finished with satin varnish, using the original leaded glass panels.
